Company History

Challenger International Transport Ltd was incorporated in 1995 by majority shareholder Mr Silvio Magro who is also the current managing director. For many years Mr Magro operated the company with modest ambitions, however, over the past five years he has managed to grab the opportunities to expand the company’s operations in international haulage and transport operations.

Mr Magro is a fully licensed truck driver with nearly thirty years’ experience on international road trucking. His work took him in almost all European countries and has built a vast network of business connections.

The company started off with just one Volvo mechanical horse but when the time came to replace the original truck, the company invested in the first Scania model. Today the company operates a fleet of six Scania trucks which are all Euro 5/6 compliant. The latest two trucks joined the fleet early in 2014 and the sixth truck joined the fleet in February 2015.

For the past six years the company has largely operated as a sub contractor to two major Maltese international freight operators – Express Trailers Ltd and Parnis England Trucking Ltd.
